Grasp of the Undying
1-10% CDR (by level)
Grasp of the Undying is used as the keystone. With its help Zac will increase damage and survivability, and will also be able to accumulate health. This rune is effective both on the lane and in prolonged skirmishes, however, it requires the player to proc it as often as possible, otherwise the potential will not be revealed.
Demolish is a great tool to turn dominance on a lane or in a game into the destruction of enemy towers. Second Wind will reduce your vulnerability to constant poke on the lane, providing healing in return. Revitalize enhances all sources of healing and shields, except for natural and some other types of health regeneration.
Cheap Shot will serve as a constant source of additional damage to enemies after applying any control to them. Ravenous Hunter is an excellent source of vampirism from the damage done by skills and items.
The choice of defensive stats depends on your opponent. If he relies on attack damage, then take armor, otherwise you will need magic resistance. You can take health if you are playing blind pick or it is not clear who your opponent is.
